Re: Estes Cosmic Interceptor

Yep learned long ago you should only use white glue or epoxy on motor mounts. Yellow glue is just too "grabby". What happens is, when it's smeared into a super-thin layer, particularly between two layers of absorbent material like paper tubing, the moisture RAPIDLY wicks away into the underlying pap...

Re: Field Day at the Starport

MOAR seems to think this is the funniest thing she has seen from me in a while. I don't know if those things have an actual name, but I'm sure you have seen them or maybe used one. It has a button on one end which you push and it extends a claw on the other end to grab something in a tight place. O...

Re: We Are Going - latest NASA propaganda film

Sounds good but with a Congress in charge of the purse strings that cannot even accept the results of an election three years ago, and that's more interested in leaving our borders unprotected from millions of illegal aliens and intent on buying they're votes with limitless freebies paid for by spen...

Re: NASA Celebrates Earth Day with Social Media, Public Events

I have the perfect picture for the #PictureEarth on Social Media. This Picture was taken shortly after Earth Day last year as I passed a local elementary school on my way home from work. It is evident to me that the artist of this great work felt so deeply about the meaning behind his work that he ...

Worthy of a bump.

May you find strength in the Jesus and his story, no matter when the actual day is.

Re: Could they get any more vague? SpaceX Crew Dragon Capsule Suffers Anomaly During Engine Test

It looked to me from the video and smoke cloud that a high pressure propellant tank or pressure sphere let go, probably in one of the Super Dracos... Instant kablooey and release of a large cloud of red nitrogen tetroxide ...

Wonder what it'll mean for the schedule for crew dragon?

Re: The REAL History Of HPR & LDRS . . .

Where does Jerry Irvine fit into the history of high power rocketry? Yeah that's what I'd like to know, and why he was persona non grata for so long... I know there was a lot of infighting for control over the cert process for HPR and a lot of behind the scenes shenanigans that went on... That's th...
