Where does Jerry Irvine fit into the history of high power rocketry?


Jerry Irvine "came on the scene", once "HPR" launches began happening in California, during the early 1980's . . . Smoke Creek, Lucerne Dry Lake Bed, Black Rock ( "places that will live in history" ).

Yes, I realize thi thread is 8 years old . . .

I found a couple of pics of the liftoff of the two "drag race" rockets, one of which struck scoutmaster, Michael Bentley. I believe the rocket on the right is the one involved in his death.
