Re: Shuttle Express glider mount point repair
Commander said Nov 14, 2015 These next steps take a little bit of practice and care should be taken not to burn yourself while orking with heated styrene. It is hot, and can burn badly if heated to a melting temperature. We want it just warm enough to were it will soften and bend, not "melt&quo...

Re: Shuttle Express glider mount point repair
Commander said Nov 08, 2015 Yes, I know. Some first-aider I am. The patient would have already expired by the time I get to him. On top of that, the procedure I will do to repair this problem seems more like a major operation. However, with a little forethought in stocking your rocket first aid kit,...

Shuttle Express glider mount point repair
originally posted Nov 01, 2015 by Commander on the old site This repair is a little more involved. We are going to replace one of the hold down points on an Estes Shuttle Express. As you can see in the picture the port hold down point is broken off of this rocket. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/6...

At the last Scout launch I did on October 10th, One kid lost an Alpha 3 on a C6-5 CATO. I told him to save the engine casing and I'd help him get a new rocket, but when I turned around 45 minutes later, he and his dad were gone.

I recently had an A10-3T blow through as well. This one destroyed an Estes Hi-Flier. The lot number was A010413.

My first skill level five rocket
Here's the parts check on my latest project. This one is kinda special to me since I have never built an Estes skill level five kit. There weren't very many and usually were expensive (by the standards of the day). So finally I began the final skill level assault. Parts check.jpg Any guesses what it...
