Re: Rumor about Estes not producing cluster kits anymore- Is it true?

Verna, I think The Estes designer wanted to call it the Double D. But it is actually the "36 D Squared". I guess they got away with a wink on that one. Worse than the name, look at the fin shape. Hard to believe that kit made it to production. I have one I bought on eBay for $18. Never hav...

Re: Why are our tax dollars going to this stuff?

OK, I'm feeling conflicted ... free bacon? Wow, I love bacon, it makes me feel happy. When I'm happy I take better care of myself. When I do that I really don't need as much health care. Oh wait, if bacon is free, I will need more health care. I have so little self control when it comes to delicious...

Re: Why are our tax dollars going to this stuff?

You have to ask the question -- where does the argument for free stuff end? When the left says everybody deserves"X", you can say that besides Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, what else is there? Well, they decided on Health Care. How about "Everybody deserves Food"? ...

Re: Rumor about Estes not producing cluster kits anymore- Is it true?

I hadn't really thought about this, but I'm not sure I recall the last cluster kit from Estes. Back in the 90s I bought the big Estes Patriot that flew on four D12s. I don't recall if it also flew on Estes Es, they might not have been out. I sold it to a friend that pestered me so long, and pitifull...

Re: Why President Trump is truly unique (and why you should give him some credit)

One thing that keeps me optimistic is the fact that Trump has a HUUUGGE ego. :)
I believe he will do everything in his power to turn things around and restore jobs and economic growth, at a minimum. He does not want to go down as mediocre, or failed, president.

Re: Mars Snooper

A little bit of trivia. Here is the Frank Tinsley artwork from 1959 that inspired the Mars Snooper kit. This print, as well as lots of other cool images, available from plan59.com.

Re: Merry Christmas!

Well Lee, it goes like this, you just have to keep on trying till you get the boy. No slacking off and try, try again. Took me till the forth time to get a son  . then had to try again to make sure I got it right . ;) But really, I am happy my 3 daughters came along before the boys. I'm su...

Re: Merry Christmas!

Hey Everyone! -- it is kind of late to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, but hope y'all have a Happy New Year. (Ted, did I get the spelling/punctuation right on that?). I've kind of wrapped up 7 months of home remodeling. We have a tiny bit left -- some trim here and there, but it is so darned cold h...

Re: Createx Airbrush Colors

Well, here it is early August, and I've just gotten to the point of thinking rockets again. We went from installing a new dishwasher in late May, to doing a serious kitchen remodel. Bought all new Bosch appliances after installing a Bosch dishwasher. I think I'm maybe a bit more excited than my wife...

You cannot end this thread yet. The obligatory final picture of the Bertha rehab is required. Actually, a flight picture would be better. Otherwise, I'll just keep this thread alive all by myself. It'll get pretty tedious, so please comply ...
