The Tesla's are a nice touch LOL:) I guess... personally I'd think a Tesla truck would be more appropriate, but I guess they work. Gull wing doors are a nice touch LOL:) Later! OL J R :)

Re: Here we go folks, USA in space, Part Two Coverage of Landmark NASA SpaceX Commercial Crew Test Flight

John Glenn had what, 6 scrubs before he finally flew?? Interesting to see their suit-up and closeout procedures, and how they've changed the tower and crew access arm, etc. REALLY modernized... That seems to be the main theme everyone is commenting on-- the modernity and new way of doing business. T...

Re: Here we go folks, USA in space, Part Two Coverage of Landmark NASA SpaceX Commercial Crew Test Flight

Good presentation between Elon and Jim Bridenstine earlier in the NASA TV coverage I'm watching on roku streaming... Maybe this will shut up some of the naysayers that have been blowing the "only NASA can do this stuff!" horn for the last 10+ years, ever since commercial resupply and then ...

T-28 minutes and change... Looking good, except the weather. Although it's looking better *visually* at the pad than the rain they were getting earlier. Of course it's a lot more weather than just at the pad itself that comes into play...

Weather update in 3 minutes... OL J R :)

Re: Where ya been?

Here's hoping for the best for ya... Hope it all works out and looking forward to "big announcements"... Ya know, within a week of the lockdowns starting, I was watching TV and saw the FL gubner and some of his posse of sheriffs on TV b!tching about the spring breakers still packing the be...

Re: My first skill level five rocket

One of the reasons I do a (hopefully) final silver (or in this case aluminum) coat is to look for any imperfections. 101_1398.JPG Of course this can lead to a very bad case of OCD. Sometimes I just have to say enough is enough and let the rocket lift off the pad. It's strange, at least I think so, ...

Re: My first skill level five rocket

Yeah, when i built my TLP "Maverick" missile, it had clay for the nose weight... thing was, it was more like a dried out square rock than clay-- I reconstituted it with a few drops of water and about an hour of massaging and mooshing it, but I wouldn't trust the stuff long term. After I in...

Re: Pushing the Panic- CoVid 19

Well, when these ultra leftist liberals like Hillary Clinton et al. famously said, "never let a good crisis go to waste", the "useful idiots", particularly those ultra leftist communists in the media and universities/intelligentsia, rush to do their part... That's why Stalin call...

Re: New NASA Podcast Helps Listeners Explore Our ‘Curious Universe’

If you haven't had the chance, check out "Crash Course Astronomy" on YouTube... It's an amazing series of videos detailing a basic outline of astronomy, from tires of observations, telescopes, all the planets in separate episodes, asteroids, comets, all the various types of stars, space ph...
