Re: Estes Scrambler Clone

Here is the Scrambler parts layout from the other night, before the shower at the Commander's Table. Parts layout.JPG and here is a picture of one of the adapters (TA60-65) I made. This one had one of the tube coupler areas just a bit more undersized than I liked. (When it comes to adapters that I t...

Re: Estes Scrambler Clone

I started on the build last night, took some pics and had all sorts of commentary lined up. Came down to the Cantina this morning to continue on and came to an abrupt stop. Some how the Captain's Table in the Cantina had water drip down on it from the kitchen and while not inundating everything, mak...

Give people too much time and not enough to eat, and you don't have the bread and circuses, you have a razor's edge from pandemonium.

Estes Scrambler Clone

We got an order here on the Starport to make the TA 60-65 balsa transitions needed for the old Estes egglofter Scrambler. Since I completed my first skill level five build last year and needed something new to add to the list of incomplete builds, and since I had ordered the laser cut Scrambler fins...

Merry Christmas

What a year its been, first full of hope and promise, then devolving to fear and despair? Maybe in some households, but I believe not in the majority of people. Maybe wonder, at governments trying to seize more power and control, then finding they like the taste and reluctant to relinquish it. We mu...

Re: Mars Snooper

Sometime during one of the past fin repairs, I used pins through the fin into the outer pod to strengthen the joint. All well and fine (that joint did not break again), but I had forgotten about them and was trying to saw the fin off the tube with an X-Acto razor saw. It wasn't going to well.

Re: Mars Snooper

1. You used a C5 or E9 and it catoed? 2. It got stuck in a cloud and drifted away? :o If only :( If you look back into this thread, you will find numerous mentions of me knocking the rocket off the table or dropping it or whatever. The result was always the same, a fin broke off. Well Sunday ...
