Re: My first skill level five rocket

By the way, those scrapers also work on plastic. Exceptionally well. I am using them now to scrape the seam lines on the plastic nose cone.

Re: My first skill level five rocket

Back to story time. A couple of weeks ago, I needed to order some parts from the company I bought the set from. The total was about $15 plus shipping. The items were small and shipping was set unless I ordered a ton more, so I looked to see what else I could get with a small budget. In one of videos...

Re: My first skill level five rocket

A while back, maybe about about five years ago, I bought two of these PA150012.JPG PA150007.JPG Inside, besides a spokeshave (what?) and a balsa stripper (no, not the pole dancing variety), was a block plain. A miniature block plane. Well, I've been practing my technique with it's big brothers, so t...

Re: My first skill level five rocket

Because of another project not rocketry related, I have been watching youtube videos on woodworking. I of course started watching videos about using a tablesaw and building the best table saw sled, blah, blah, blah.. I don't remember exactly when, I guess about two months ago, I came across some vid...

Re: My first skill level five rocket

Today, I cleaned the wings off and took them over to my Corian Slab. Yes I have a chunk of Corian Slab 50cm by 76cm which a photographer in the building where I work sold to me as he was closing up shop. It has three pads, missing the fourth corner and one side has some drilled holes in it, put for ...

Re: My first skill level five rocket

<sigh> Does life really speed along that fast? I guess so, especially the summer months. I spent all night last night moving and re-arranging the contents of the rocket bunker looking for the wings I glued back in May. I didn't put them with the rest of the kit sitting in the bag on the table. No, t...

Re: Cantina Conest concerning...

I guess I gave to much ingenuity to those model rocketeers out there. Either that or everyone hates these things soooooo.... much  that re-purposing them is anathema to the cause.

...Shock Cords. I am certain we are all familiar with the rubber shock cords Estes uses in their kits. I just replaced two of them, One in my Photon Disruptor and one in my Photon Probe. The rubber (or whatever material it is) had degraded near the knots connecting the shock cord to the nose cone an...

Re: "I can't remember," Hillary Clinton

Oh lord, I feel so bad. I have been way to harsh on this lady. Did you see how overcome by grief she was at the 9/11 Memorial ceremonies? Why she could barely walk to the motorcade van. It almost looked like they dragged and/or carried her the last few feet. She must really be feeling sorrow for tho...
