Re: the fickle nature of E's and F's
I had pretty decent luck with the FSI D18 and D20 motors. Had a couple catos with each, but nowhere near the rate of the E60 or even the F100. Out of the 4 catos I had with the FSI D's, only one did any significant damage, the very first D20 I tried to fly blew my 24mm-mount original Citation Patrio...

Re: THE CAVS HAVE WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP
It will probably take another 52 years for the "Mistake by the Lake" commonly known as Cleveland to win another championship in any pro sport. Everybody knows Chief Wahoo's tribe certainly won't do it (although I find the Chief Wahoo logo the absolute coolest in all pro sports), and the Br...

Re: Brodak Dopes
Lately myself I have been using a 50% Toluene, 25% MIBK, 25% MEK mix and leaving out the Acetone completely due to the high humidity we have here in Michigan.
Whenever the humidity is high, you want to SLOWWWWWW the drying time of Dope or Lacquer to avoid blushing/fisheyes.

Re: Watch fourth launch of same gear Sunday
I'm not saying I would personally turn down any space ride, from a spectator/enthusiast point of view it is hard to get excited over anything short of at least a manned moon mission, which should be far EASIER/QUICKER to do now vs. the 60's with modern computers, alloys, and engineering.

Re: Brodak Dopes
LOL. The most economical way to thin Butyrate Dope really is to buy DuPont or Ditzler Lacquer thinner. I think a whole gallon is only around $30. Of course a gallon of Toluene is only about $20. If you have no local source of automotive lacquer thinner, for the cheapest possible good mix I would get...

BOO !
Virtually EVERYONE that does not live in the Cleveland area KNOWS ALL teams that call Cleveland home are supposed to PERPETUALLY STINK !
The only reason possible allowing the Cavs to win is their ownership is solidly a MICHIGAN man.

Re: Brodak Dopes
Ok... I guess I should post "my recipe" for butyrate dope thinner here in addition to having it over on YORF. This thinner recipe applies ONLY to Aero Gloss, Sig, Brodak, and full-scale aircraft Randolph Dope (which is what Brodak is, repackaged in smaller quantities). This recipe does NOT...

Re: Watch fourth launch of same gear Sunday
I dont get excited about any space flight that has been done by NASA more than 46 F'n years ago !!!! When any agency (private or gov't) lands a HUMAN on the MOON again or farther, I will be excited amd intrigued. Until then, it is "Been there, done that". Do something NEW and exciting. the...

Re: Gap staging vent hole size
+1 to Verna's post. Two 1/4" holes opposite of each other are plenty.
