Are you on the no fly watchlist? Don't say no so fast.

Marshals: Innocent People Placed On 'Watch List' To Meet Quota You could be on a secret government database or watch list for simply taking a picture on an airplane. Some federal air marshals say they're reporting your actions to meet a quota, even though some top officials deny it. The air marshal...

Re: Astro Cam Rehab

That was the problem with this and I assume the other single picture rockets (CamRoc). It was basically a crap shoot what you would get and you wouldn't find out till after the film was developed, so no adjustments could be made. The only way to try and get some knowledge of what worked when would b...

Re: Astro Cam Rehab

Before working on the fin can anymore I wanted to protect the rest of it from any more dinks. Andy X mentions top coating with a gloss or matte finish spray as soon as possible just for this reason. So I got out the Rustoleum Crystal Clear and painted all of the fin can except for the loose fin and ...

Re: Astro Cam Rehab

I used Rust-oleum filler & primer to prep the fin can Astro-Cam fin can priimered.JPG Then I gave it three coats of the Createx/Future Shine 1:1 mixture. Everything was looking fine, the finish almost a semi-gloss. I glued the fin back on, but it seems very weak. In this picture, the bad fin is ...

Re: Astro Cam Rehab

I was getting ready to put this one to bed, when last night during one of the coats using the Createx Air Brush Colors, I was curing the paint on the fin can, when one of the other fins which had long ago broken off and was glued back on, fell off. The heat needed to cure the paint had hea...

Brodak Dopes

Originally when I was starting airbrushing, I was going to use strictly dopes. My experience using them was, shall we say, less than pleasing, so I tried the Createx. Now that I think I have the Createx mastered, I may have to revisit the Brodak dopes. One of the things that I have found can be frus...
