Re: So what are my school levy taxes going for?

Yep nuts ain't it?? Betty just went back to school today. Evidently the administration felt the need for everyone to come back to the building to do their ONLINE classes. No students arrive on-campus til Oct 3rd... although they are starting with the elementary grades very soon, then a "phase i...

Re: NASA to Provide Coverage of Astronauts’ Return from Space Station on SpaceX Commercial Crew Test Flight

Watched the landing from just before trunk jettison to crew egress... Nice landing! Had plenty of idgits show up in their own boats pretty quick, but seems to have went off without a hitch. Good job! Looking forward to seeing more from SpaceX... Maybe Boeing will get their *oops you said word #1 tog...

Re: “Freedom of worship is a command of God, not a privilege granted by the state.”

The very fact this is even an issue speaks volumes about just how "inalienable" our Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms are... "Shall NOT be infringed" and "shall NOT be abridged" has been replaced by "the gubmint giveth, and the gubmint taketh away"... Certa...

Well, her first mistake was talking to the cops AT ALL... let alone letting him in to "search for weapons"... Cops will ASK you for anything, but you have to be d@mn fool enough to ALLOW them to do it, well, you CONSENTED so they're covered. Tell 'em to p!ss off til they have a warrant is ...

Re: Kevlar String request

Yeah Jo-Anns is a good place... might try HobLob... it's getting harder to find, maybe online. Basically you can use ANY good solid COTTON thread... you don't want polyester or blends or other synthetics that can easily burn if a hot particle of BP from the ejection charge hits them... sort of a mil...

Re: NASA Astronauts Launch from America in Historic Test Flight of SpaceX Crew Dragon

Glad to see our astronauts launching from AMERICAN soil in AMERICAN built spacecraft, instead of being sent packing off to Russia with a $70 million dollar plus check in their pocket for a ride on Soyuz... Remember, NOT ONE DOLLAR has ever been spent *in space*... every dollar spent on the space pro...

Re: Kevlar String request

Hmmm... worth a try but honestly I wouldn't use kevlar for shroud lines... I mean what are you trying to protect them from??? If the parachute is exposed to enough heat to need kevlar shroud lines, the plastic sheeting of the parachute will melt into an undeployable "plastic wad" recovery ...

Uggh... "Worm" logo... Gee I was hoping THAT thing was dead and buried... SO FUGLY... (the worm logo, not you Bernie!) BTW nice hat, Dad had one just like it! I was SO pleased when they axed the worm logo and brought back the classic "Meatball" emblem from the '60's... The worm l...
