Charles Edward Anderson "Chuck" Berry has passed.
Among the honors Berry received were the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1984 and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2000. He was ranked seventh on Time magazine's 2009 list of the 10 best electric guitar players of all time. On May 14, 2002, Berry was honored as one of the first BMI Icons at the 50th annual BMI Pop Awards. He was presented the award along with BMI affiliates Bo Diddley and Little Richard. In August 2014, Berry was made a laureate of the Polar Music Prize.
The one honor not noted, but which is in my opinion most notable, is that the man remained married to his wife Themetta "Toddy" Suggs, since 1948.

I'm almost thirty years (28), and that just around me, especially on his line of work.

Damn trying to write on the bus is a pain at times.

What I meant to say was, that I have been married for twenty eight years. being married as long as Chuck was just amazes me, especially for someone in his line of business.

I'm going on 34 years in October this year.

My favorite Berry song was "Ding-A-Ling"
