Hi all,

Julie Blehm makes great spherical parachutes!

http://spherachutes.com/

These are the latest acquired; 18" and 24".

The first was a 36" wbwbwb colored 6 panel back in the mid '90s. It's still hanging in there. There are many colors to choose from and the chutes are of high quality.

They have a spill hole, and the stitching/shroud lines are well done.

Is there a standard spill hole size or percentage? and do you know if different size spill holes can be accommodated?

After comparing, they appear to be percentage.
I'd ask her as far as custom though.

Are you talking about a "rule of thumb" ie theoretically, or the "ideal" size for a given chute, or are you specifically asking about these particular chutes and how they're designed and made?

Later! OL J R :)

Specifically for the spherachutes. Also, I would speculate that you could request a different size hole, at least with a manufacturer that will give you your color choice, meaning they probably create the chute on order, not have them all premade.
