It directly involves NASA so I stuck it here instead.

I received two updates from NASA within a minute of each other. The first was an update on the 16th Annual Student launch and I was going to just place the photo there with some comments. but after reading the second post, I just had to open a new thread about the hypocrisy.

In the Student launch update, they had the following picture.

Now we all know smokie when we see one, and know the fallout and what not, but they are visually (and audibly) impressive and make nice pictures. which the press loves. :D

HOWEVER...

You can't follow that pic up within a minute of sending with a news release on NASA's Earth day events.
This year, NASA will celebrate Earth Day, April 22, with a variety of live and online activities Thursday and Friday, April 21-22, to engage the public in the agency’s mission to better understand and protect our home planet.

LOL:) It's NASA... hypocrisy is their middle name...

They're the *GUBMINT*... it doesn't HAVE to make sense!
