#1 OK, who let GHrocketman out?

Post by Commander »

According to CBS news, more than 500 pounds of explosives, 1/2 the load, were missing from a CSX train shipment.
The CSX train was traveling from Chicago through Ohio en route to Detroit. Somewhere along the way, investigators believe the explosives were stolen. According to a law enforcement source, when the train car of explosives arrived in Detroit, half of the shipment was gone.

A spokesman for the ATF in Detroit called this a very serious case. Technically the explosives are classified as fireworks but because they are commercial grade combined with the quantity makes them extremely dangerous. The ATF says they are a lot more volatile and typically only handled by professionals.
The train was headed to Detroit, so the question becomes...

Did GHrocketman order them? or
did GHrocketman help them disappear?

Well, if a new crop of B14 motors show up, you can figure he was involved and there was some BP on that train ...

Ghrocketman had NOTHING to do with this.
I saw it on the local and National news at the same time all the rest of you did as well.
When I first heard about this I thought "Must be an inside job".
I honestly had NEVER heard of a modern-day train burglary/pilfery.
Hopefully the perpetrators are caught and did not have any sinister purpose behind those 'display/commercial grade' fireworks....after the whole Boston terrorist incident, this is downright scary that such a cargo is not traveling under human armed security.

Well crap. I had hopes that some "midnight special" B14s were on the horizon.

If it's going to be used in Detroit it's a waste of explosives. There's nothing left to demolish!

"Midnight Special" B14's (as well as B8's) actually are EASILY self made although I would not condone/suggest/reccommend this practice as it is against the mamby-pamby code.
One could very slightly (maybe 1/8" deep) core B4-2/4/6 motors with a 3/32" non-sparking drill to create B8's.
To make B14's one could use a 1/16" non-sparking drill about 3/8" into the grain.
AGAIN, this is neither condoned nor suggested due to safety reasons....
