Hi All! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We travelled down to Denver to celebrate with our two daughters’ families. We found out our youngest will add another grandchild to our family next July. We have three granddaughters now, so we are wondering if a little boy might show up. Either way, it’s great news.

The downside to not having the feast at our place is that we had NO leftovers! Debi went to the store the next day and we did our own Thanksgiving feast. But by the third day, when asked if turkey enchiladas was OK, I offered to go get a pizza!

Well, it wasn't what some would call great, but others may. Sandy and I actually made no plans except to stay home in our pajamas all day and we made frozen turkey TV diners and just relaxed.

I won't say I would like that every year, but it was nice this year.

Congratulations on the soon to be new arrival. Whenever I was asked if we knew what the baby would be and if I had a choice which would I want, I always answered just that it would be healthy.

Ours was pretty good, we had 10 of 12 grand kids with us at one time. (most of DSSF) :D

Next year I think we're going to Waffle House to eat. :~salud:

I took the day off from baling hay (been working on it off and on for two weeks) and FINALLY got done last Friday. Had to baler break down a couple times, a couple rain showers delayed things for a couple days each, and then ended up fighting ant hills (mud balls) pulled into the baler and breaking shear bolts, each one requiring turning the baler backwards by hand with a big lever wrench and then pulling the hay and mud balls out of the pickup with a hay hook, which is laborious work. Broke about 15 shear bolts all total and had 3 belt failures (requiring taking the belt to a shop and having it relaced, the closest one being 23 miles away), then reinstalling the belt. Also had a bearing fail the first day of baling after about 10 bales and by the time I got the last bale wrapped with twine and ejected the roller was smoking hot... (in a bad way, unlike the babe!) Spent 2 days chasing the bearings down for it and a few hours putting it back together.

Glad to have it done. Made 80-something bales; we finished after dark and Jay didn't get a good count.

We had T-giving at Mom's in Shiner; Julie brought the turkey and dressing, we brought all the sides, including the cranberry hooch (cranberry sauce with liquor in it) and Jay brought rolls and drinks, I made a pineapple upside down cake, Jay brought pie. Had a good meal and a nice time, next day it was back to baling hay.

Later! OL J R :)
