There is something about California that sooner or later just has to fall. It has to implode like all those magnificient buildings we have seen in demolition films, collapse in upon themselves implosions. Just as you see in the videos, after the explosions occur, it takes a bit of time for the total collapse to occur. In the viseos you hear hear boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. then a short time later, the whole building falls in on itself.

Right now what we are hearing, are the explosive charges going off across the state;

-increasing the mimum wage
-assaulting the second amendment
-supporting sanctuary cities, state
-hyper regulating model rocketry
-over taxing citizens
-etc. etc.

The progressives are throwing piles of money (and bodies) under those sheared supports right now to prop up their false narrative. The day of reckonning is coming though. It is the progressives own actions which are completing the circuit to another explosive on the next column.

In this particular instance...

The alledged killer of Kate Steinle is trying to do what most newspapers and other media outlets do, disassociate himself from the crime and reposition the blame on an inamiate object, in this case, namely the gun.

I can't believe that we really have a judicial system that would even for one millisecond consider, and not laugh outright at the petitioner any such argument. As reasonable human beings we understand that there are times when a products defects may cause unintended consequences. i.e. an automobile has a problem with braking issues and therefore someone is rammed from behind. However, in a state were brandishing (drawing or exhibiting a weapon, not necessarily a firearm either) is considered serious and can be charged as a felony, what defense is there in stating, " oh the weapon is notorious for having a hair trigger in single action.

Yet that is what the lawyer for Juan Francisco Lopez Sanchez, the man accused of killing Kate Steinle is trying to argue. Since the case is being heard in California and not some more sensible part of the United States, as of now the judge is seriously taking this under consideration instead of the more prudent action of bringing the lawyer up to the State Bar for disbarment because of some sort of insanity.

My wife and I are doing a road trip next week to California. We want to make one last trip to see some places we have not visited, like the Reagan Library, Morrow Bay, maybe visit Monterrey again, and see some old friends in the Bay Area who we worked with back in the late 70s to early 80s, before we quit our jobs, and escaped in 1983.

After that, let the implosion begin! (We are not heartless, we will encourage our friends to get out.)

You won't regret seeing the Reagan Library. Well worth the trip and cost.

The Reagan Library was truly inspiring. Morrow Bay was kind of fun, I guess I'd consider it to be reminiscent of a small beach town, in my eyes. Monterrey and Santa Cruz were depressing, so crowded. Had a blast seeing friends in a Tracy, but had everything to do with seeing them, and not being in California. I have no words to describe traffic. What bothers me is that traffic in Colorado now reminds me of the traffic we had back then in California.

On our way to a Tracy, we went thru Pleasanton to see our old neighborhood. Pleasanton was not the sleepy little town we moved from in the early 80s. But it is still an attractive "little" town. Our house we made a killing on when we sold it for $125k just recently sold for $725k. That's a lot for a tiny little starter home! A tiny 1300 sq. ft. place with absolutely no standout styling or features. :o
