The State Department held stress management sessions following Donald Trump’s presidential election victory, providing employees tips for how to cope with change so they do not “become paralyzed by fear.”

The workshops, titled “The Emotional Transition: Managing the Stress of Change,” were held by the State Department’s Bureau of Medical Services on Dec. 8 and 14, just one month after the department’s former boss, Hillary Clinton, was defeated.
Now honestly, I am not sure if I am as upset by this as I would be under a different administration. The way I kinda see it is this... as long as they are in stress management sessions, they won't be messing up the world as much as typical.

Unfortunately the article doesn't give any dollar amounts on how much these sessions cost or how many work hours were lost for employees.

You can bet it was a *oops you said word #1-ton, to be sure, on both counts...

Wow this country is SO full of pussies nowdays... and THESE are the people in charge of facing down real tough guys like the Russians, Chinese, North Koreans, and Iranians (among many others)??

No wonder we're considered such a joke elsewhere in the world... If we didn't have our "big stick" (US military, nuclear missiles, etc) we'd have been a complete laughing stock a long time ago, that NOBODY would take seriously...

Later! OL J R :)

My wife retired two years ago from National Park Service. She liked her job, just detested the people she worked for. You'd think NPS would draw the finest talent -- those loving the outdoors and wanting to help preserve our great national treasures. Many probably started that way, but so many are no different than any other federal bureaucrat with an entitlement mentality.

Similar to Hollywood, my wife had to hide the fact that she is conservative. A previous boss thought her work was exemplary. He left to work for another federal agency. Her new boss never gave her anything but average reviews, knowing she was conservative. Her boss did such outrageous things, like personal trips for supposed government business. My wife decided to retire, rather than turn whistleblower, for fear of retribution. It's almost impossible to get anyone terminated, anyway. The stories got so bad I asked her not to tell me, I couldn't take hearing about it anymore.

Thank God Trump has put a hiring freeze on. The more we can do to help eliminate waste and corruption, the better. But it's going to take a very long time to flush out the rats.

I think many are considering leaving before things get really "out of hand" for them. Remember Reagan and the Air Traffic Controllers, just one eff up and most (not my father, :P GH) were waiting for a liberal to get back in and "fix things up". For most, it was a longggggg wait.

Having held a seat on my local school board (1991-94), I can attest that the corruption is not limited to Washington D.C. and the federal bureaucracy. They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions, but the road is maintained by un-elected and unaccountable bureaucrats from top to bottom.

I hope Trump will continue to take a meat cleaver to these parasites, especially the assistant U.S. Attorneys appointed by his Marxist predecessor.

I'm sure he will, as they come to bear in his sites. Another thing people have forgotten about President Trump (I just love the sound of that), he's has bought, taken over or otherwise acquired companies that have had problems and has cleaned house in them to make them profitable (or sometimes not, you can't win them all). Thus he has the experience in going in, looking things over and making the tough calls and actions to get thus companies on a footing were they will either make it or go bust. Now I know that making them go bust may sound mean, but what is meaner (and better for the economy), stringing employees on making them believe that the company is running on sound principals only to have it falter and crash, or to find out really how healthy it is and thus give those employees a chance to make it to retirement.

As for the bureaucrats in government, Pappie as an Air Traffic Controller, was on the radar screens till the day he left. I once asked him why he never moved up (to assistant manager or whatever), and he responded that he just loved working with the planes. That may be, but I do know that he didn't like red tape and pandering to bosses (brown nosing), so I wonder at times if it was just the fact he didn't want to get into the BS a management position would entail.

President Trump would do well to follow this example set by Ronald Reagan in 1984.

There is a little known and unused for the last century law passed by Congress that allows bureaucrat pay to be cut to $1 per year. it can be selectively applied. Use of this law would flush out some of the leftist rats....
