While still horrific, such was not the case in Nashville, Tennessee this past weekend where a church usher stopped a 25 y.o. immigrant (in the U.S. legally since the 1990's) from Sudan who was firing on the congregation. One person was killed and seven others wounded. The usher didn't have his weapon on him, but retrieved it after struggling with the gunman and having the gunman's weapon discharging, hitting the gunman. The usher then went to his car to retrieve his weapon and waited till police arrived.
