Armageddon Shuttle
We enjoyed the Armageddon movie, so we decided to make our own loose adaptation. I had been thinking of how to cluster this kit. Seemed like an interesting way to me.
This one is also a kit bash of the Estes Shuttle and 2 Yankee kits, all built per Estes instructions then mated using the same type of balsa standoff spacers as with Spiff's RoD.
For this one and every rocket of this type (engines with different or spaced mounts) it is important to make sure all engines extend from the rear the same distance. In other words, when the rocket stands on it's rear end the engines are even. The shuttle also came with a ton of clay for the nose.
The night photos were taken during a static test before the shuttle's maiden flight.
