#1 Would you give up having children to save the planet?

In the mid aughts, a movie came out called Idiocracy, trailer I highly recommend it. The basic premise of the movie is that intelligent people end up having very few children and that the other end of the spectrum basically reproduce like rabbits, causing an overall decline in the intelligence of the general population over five hundred years.
I won't go into the story and give spoilers, but suffice it to say that per the movie, in five hundred years, people are much less intelligent. Now, you may say "yeah, that's just hollyweird", but two things:
1). this film never got the promotion and coverage it deserved only to find a hindsight perspective following today. So, I surmise after filming, someone may have decided this hit too close to the truth.
2.) The general public progressives just really don't have a clue and follow what their "betters" tell them blindly.
Want proof of number 2?
a recent article on The Guardian website,
link goes into the virtues of not having children to save the planet from climate change.
It starts out with Gwen MacKellen, a recycling consultant, who blames all the ills of the world on people (in a nutshell) and doesn't wish to increase the impact on the planet by having children.
It then turns to Leilani Munter, a "vegan hippy chick with a race car". Now I am all for hippy chicks and race cars, and vegans I can take or leave. Now how can you be so all powered enviro-mental and drive a race car

Anyways, dealing with the child issue, in reality I am happy these people have decided not to have children to whom they can pass down their beliefs. if only we could hold on for a generation or two allowing the progressives not to overburden our world with their offspring, we might get back to healthy outlook... but I doubt it.
