Well kinda, if you are a girl, you have to claim to be "transgender". Still, I remember when I was in the Scouts back in the mid seventies to early eighties, Females where trying to get their foot in the door. It took a couple of decades and a lessening of the morals of today's society, but the gals have finally made it, and all they have to do is state that they "identify" as a male.

The article even warps this whole thing....

Notice two things: one) In the first sentence it states they will "allow transgender children". This means that they will allow girls to join, unless there is some other "gender" type for homo sapiens besides male which of course would be allowed.

two) in the last line they identify the child as a male, ugggggh.

When is this bull going to end? I can identify myself as a young, rich, healthy, handsome male. The minute I try to run 3 steps down the street or try and drive off the BMW lot, my fallacies will be uncovered. And I would love to hear the police officers, district attorney's and judges laughter and derision if I tried to use the handsome and young part after having been rejected by some college co-ed who really didn't care that I identified as such and dialed 911.

It was tough enough being in the Scouts, the inference was always that Boy Scout leaders were homosexuals and I felt sorry for those that were there doing their best to help turn boys into men. Of course, after being put under a lot of pressure and being threatened with law suits and pulling of funds from the federal government, Gay men were allowed to become Scout Leaders.

Sooner or later, the national council of the Boy Scouts is going to allow something they won't be able to recover from. I am beginning to believe that it is coming more and more sooner.

I rose to the rank of Life Scout, which is just below Eagle Scout. I joined the Marine Corps when I was seventeen and was discharged after I had turned eighteen. If I had those three months back at least, I believe I could have made it to Eagle Scout. That's right I believe I am an Eagle Scout and think I should petition the Boy Scouts of America to add my name to the list of Eagle Scouts and that I should gain all benefits and memberships accruing thereof.

Barring that, I could petition them stating that I identify as a seventeen year old and that therefore I should be allowed a final year to complete my Eagle Scout badge.

My folks were too lazy and "too busy" to take me to Cub scouts, and my Grandpa was in the field half the time, so I had to hitch a ride with a kid that lived a few miles away. After awhile it just got to be too much of a hassle and I dropped out.

If I had a son nowdays, I wouldn't want him in BSA... their open door policy to the queers and all that crap is just something I totally DO NOT and WILL NOT support.

I thought that a BUNCH of folks left the BSA after their decision to let the queers have free run in the organization as scout leaders... and I thought they started a new alternative CHRISTIAN BASED scouting organization to serve as an alternative for folks not wanting to subject their sons to the stupidity coming out of the FORMERLY "Christian" BSA... If I had a son, I'd be looking at something like that, but I don't so I don't have to worry about it.

My SIL pushed my nephew to get his Eagle Scout, which he did, but could really care less by all appearances... OH well...

I was an active Scout leader for almost 25 years. This latest announcement finally tipped my hand and I have quit. BSA has now become complicit in that totally loony leftist theory that allows doctors to chemically and surgically mutilate pre-pubescent kids who do not really know what they want to do.

I WILL NOT BE A PART OF THIS FIASCO.

When they turn the BSA into a complete sham and NAMBLA hunting ground operating as little more than a zoo and freak show for queer causes and other crap, they'll dwindle to nothing.

None of my younger nephews are in BSA nor would they be. Keira is in girl scouts-- that's enough.

Girl Scouts was much worse than BSA for a while. They started allowing in boys in drag several years ago, but then again, the SJW's and feminazis took over the national organization almost 20 years ago.
